Oluchi's first name in her native Igbo language means "God's Work". Oluchi appeared again in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition shoot in St. John's in 2008. Oluchi Onweagba was born August 1, 1980 and is commonly referred to as Oluchi, an exquisite Nigerian supermodel who signed an exclusive contract with Elite Model Management.

After her three-year contract with Elite expired, she signed with DNA Model Management. She was also signed up to be one of the Victoria's Secret models, making her the first model of Nigerian descent to achieve this status. A highlight of her career so far was when she was featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue four times, from 2005 to 2008. She is married to her long time companion, Italian fashion designer Luca Orlandi.
