Özdere Özdere is a Turkish town in the Menderes district of İzmir Province on the Aegean coast. It is located approximately 33 kilometers or 21 miles west of Kuşadası and 40 kilometers or 25 miles from İzmir. It is a quiet holiday resort on the Kuşadası-Selçuk-Seferihisar-Urla road. This charming coastal resort on the Aegean Sea was called Kesri until 1965.
Today, during the summer tourist season, it hosts a population of over 100,000. In various distances from the shore there are large hotels, motels, holiday villages and pensions with a total number of beds in excess of 9,000. Tourism, the most important source of income for the people, is followed by agriculture (Satsuma mandarin oranges), animal husbandry and fisheries.
