Gümbet is situated just 2 kilometers from Bodrum and is quickly becoming a top holiday resort. A place for those who like fast-paced lifestyle with beachfront bars, restaurants and discos at night. The Bodrum Peninsula, on the Aegean coast has beautiful bays, ancient ruins and small traditional villages. Enjoy a Blue Cruise along the coast and weigh anchor at a secluded bay where you can swim to shore. Known as one of the best holiday resorts for watersports with a sheltered golden sand and pebble beach, Gümbet is perfect for an active action packed holiday. Situated in the Bodrum Peninsula, Gümbet is situated to the south west of Bodrum in the middle of Bardakçı Bay. Gümbet is a holiday resort that has become increasingly popular for its nightlife and beach. Located at the southwest corner of Turkey, Gümbet is centrally located to all the upscale beach resorts of Turkey and Greece. There is a wide range of watersports available at the beach and numerous seaside bars and retaurants. A daytrip to nearby Milas and the surrounding villages where Turkish carpets are made in villages like Karacahisar, Ören, Gereme, Çomakdağ, Dörttepe, Bozalan, İkizköy, Pınarköy , Mezgit, Gürceğiz and Akçakaya villages. Another enjoyable trip is to the Greek island of Kos located a fairly short hydrofoil ride from Bodrum. Kos are Greek islands. Kos possesses fine sand beaches and a good mix of the culture and cuisine of Greece as well as beach bars, dance clubs and Greek restaurants.

Transfers from Bodrum-Milas Airport are readily available and take about 40 minutes. Motorcoaches from practically anywhere in Turkey arrive and depart at the Bodrum bus station (Turkish: otogar). From Bodrum to Gümbet there are regularly scheduled mini-buses (Turkish: dolmuş) that take only minutes. There are also ferry boat services available from Bodrum to Kos, Greece 3 days a week during winter months and every day between May and October. There is also service to Datca from Bodrum Castle and a ferry from Istanbul. The weather in Gümbet during the summer months is sunny and dry with practically no humidity with sea temperatures ranging between 18 to 25C. The winter is mild with rains but never with any snow.
