Bördübet - Turkey Bördübet
Situated on the Reşadiye Peninsula of Marmaris, Bördübet is a small fishing and beekeeping village lying in a cove. Bördübet faces the Gökova Gulf and is surrounded by thick forest and just like many other coves that exist in the area, it has its own unique nature. Bördübet is only 27 kilometers from Marmaris and 55 kilometers from Datça.

Bördübet, literally translated means "bird's bed" and was named by British soldiers who hid in this cove many years ago. The area is home to numerous species of birds, including rock doves, goldfinches, nightingales and sparrow hawks to name a few.

One of the features of the cove is the river that flows through the thick pine forest and empties into the sea. Surrounded by tall fragrant pine trees, the panorama makes for an exceptional location for both amatuer and professional photographers. The entire region provides a relaxing, stress-free retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The junction where the river meets the sea creates an interesting natural habitat like that of a small Amazon-style forest. The abundance of plant, animal and bird diversity makes it a home for many wild creatures such as wild boars, rabbits, squirrels, foxes, and badgers.

Due to its unique location in the forest near water, Bördübet offers rare shadows and cool weather when the south coast of Turkey heats up in late summer. Bördübet enjoys beautiful surroundings - the river that winds gently through the area and waters the numerous orchards as well as a private island nestled just off the coastline in the Mediterranean Sea.

The hotel to stay in is the Golden Key at Bördübet. It consists of several different styles of two-story units nestled into the semi-tropical landscape. Each unit is tastefully decorated with modern country-style furniture, especially designed for the Golden Key Bördübet. The hotel has a beautiful green garden and an outdoor pool. Its private beach area is only 500 ft away.

The beach is only a ten minute walk down a forest path or a short boat ride on the river. A private swimming pool with a well-stocked bar and a collection of classical music awaits you on a peninsula at the tip of the private bay. Bördübet's best-kept secret is its private island in the Mediterranean. Here you can bask in the sun or relax in the shade, and have a drink, a snack or lunch at the island bar.

The Hotel Bördübet is a beautiful place where you can enjoy true solitude. If your idea of a holiday is peaceful quiet seclusion, then Bördübet has got all you'll ever want in a Mediterranean resort.
