LujŠn FernŠndez was born in Argentina where she grew up with an affinity for acting and from early childhood was involved with several local television programs. She was a teenager TV star before becoming a model, and was discovered at the age of 14 years while on an Uruguayan beach. After consulting with her parents, because she was a minor, she decided to give fashion modeling a try. A few photo shoots later, she knew that fashion industry was her calling. With hard work, local and even international publications soon marked her resume, all before she was 18.
LujŠn appeared on the covers of ELLE, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, as well as United States, German, and French Vogue. The work kept coming and, like many foreign models before her, she decided to move to New York City. This would prove to be a great decision, as she was now more accessible.
FernŠndez hit the runway for the likes of Ralph Lauren, BCBG and John Bartlett, and has been featured in print campaigns for Perry Ellis, Victoria's Secret, Chloť, Emanuel Ungaro, and XOXO. She also appeared in the 2000 and 2001 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues. These two appearances cemented FernŠndez's title as a supermodel. The world over got a glimpse of her assets, and liked what it saw. Soon, she was the most prominent Latina model, and one of the busiest as well, doing more runway shows and magazine shoots than ever before. With plans in full swing for various fashion shoots, she has made it clear in the past that a career in television is not unrealistic, as she plans to return to her acting roots in the future.
Lujan dissappeared from the public in 2002, becoming a recluse who is rarely seen.
