Ethiopia born Model Gelila Bekele was born in Addis. The 20-year old model was taking in the Soho sights one sunny day when she happened upon an open call at Ford Model Management. Unsure if her summer look with flip flops, a Bob Marley tee-shirt with big hair was go-see friendly, but she took a chance and joined the long line of modeling hopefuls. And the rest is history... She says modelling at home is easy, but she says that she finds the international modeling scene very competitive. Gelilia is soon travelling to New York in the USA to try her luck at breaking in to the international modelling scene. If she's successful, it will encourage others back home to do the same... |
