Mariada was born in Cyprus. At a very early stage of her life she followed her family to Greece, with a wiew of permanent residence in Athens. She was very young when she started to be occupied with music and sports. She was said to be one of the champions of the Panhellenic Athletic Club, specializing in apparatus work for at least 9 years.

In the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest that took place in Dublin, Ireland, she was the backing vocalist of the Greek Entry and the leading singer Elina Konstantopoulou, to the song "Pia Proseuhi" ("What Kind Of A Prayer").

From then on, she started climbing the ladder of stardom, collaborating with "the creme de la creme" of Greek singers and musicians, like Christos Nikolopoulos, Paschalis, Despina Vandi, Giannis Parios, Giannis Poulopoulos, Antonis Remos, Giannis Ploutarchos, Notis Sfakianakis, Giorgos Tsalikis etc., as their support in their shows.

In June of 2002, Mariada released her first album, entitled "I Gineka Tis Zois Sou" ("The Woman Of Your Life") ,which instantly gave her a substantial place in the hearts of the Greek audience. In 2002 at the Arion Greek Music Awards, Mariada received the Award for "Best Newcomer in Greek Music"!

In September 2006, Mariada returned with the cd single "DJ", containing the self titled song, which is a powerful dance song, remade from Swedish singer Carola's "Stanna Eller Ga". The lyrics in all the songs are signed for the first time by Mariada herself. A few days later, her record label released her first "best of" album, with her greatest hits from her first album up-to-date, entitled "DJ-The Hits Collection"!
