Puerto de la Cruz is one of the top resorts in the Canary Islands. It is also the longest established most complete of all resorts on Tenerife.

Puerto de la Cruz is situated in northern coast of Tenerife in the Orotava valley on the foot of the Teide mountain and is one of the top and most complete holiday resorts of the Canary Islands.

The Old Town is very pretty in parts and it is one of the few resorts where the local people still work, and go out to dinner or to have drink.

The area around the old fishing port is full of narrow cobbled streets with houses in colonial architecture style.

Puerto de la Cruz is a cosmopolitan city with excellent hotels and the great Lago Martianez, an architectural wonder of the renown international artist Cesar Manrique.

In Puerto de la Cruz the modern and the new functional structures coexist with the typical and old corners of the small fisher's town which gave origin to the present city. San Telmo, the Casa de la Aduana, the San Felipe Castle and, in general, the whole Ranilla.

The Taoro Park, where the Casino is situated, is a great vegetable area which lies over the city; one can also find the Botanical Garden which dates from 1788 and wards trees and other vegetable species from all five continents.
