Jennnifer Braff is very busy girl. In addition to being the executive assistant to the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, she recently appeared on the television reality dating series, Age of Love. She was pitted in the television series against girls in their twenties and in the final episode came in as the runner-up. But the thing about Jennifer that is so amazing is that that she is 48 years old. That's right, the girl in the photos above is a 48 year old model who has appeared in Playboy, co-hosted the biggest New Years event on the West Coast this year at the Kodak Theater and is currently the spokesmodel for Amore Fashion. All this while balancing a hectic schedule as executive assistant in the Laker's busy head-office.

At present, Jennifer is involved with numerous charitable efforts that help to support the Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach. Miller Children's Hospital is non-profit 281-bed hospital that provides medical care for children of all ages and expectant mothers. Jennifer and some friends at Amore Fashion have done a very sexy calendar which is available at Amore. Those who purchase the 2008 fashion calendar of Amore Fashions, of which Braff is an official spokesmodel, help support the hospital.

Jennifer has also written two books, Cougar Dating: A Woman's Guide to Dating Men of All Ages, and I Am Cougar, Hear Me Roar: A Self-Help Autobiography, which serve as a guide on how women can bring back and preserve their youthfulness and sex appeal.[editors note: see correction below] In her own words:

“I decided I needed to write the book because I have something to share with other women that I know is important to living a fulfilling life,”

“I believe most women were just waiting for a positive role model to look to that felt the way they did about dating and relationships."

BRSpecial.com all is about beauty, so naturally we contacted Jennifer about doing this interview. After seeing her Amore calendar and her photos on her MySpace.com page it seemed that we were contacting a twenty-something model. But when we found out that Jennifer is forty-eight years old it told us one thing. This girl definitely has something to say about beauty...

BRSpecial:
The first word that comes to mind is Wow! The second is how? Then there are no more words. We are speechless so we'll just listen. How do you do it? How do you remain so young looking?

Jennifer:
I exercise, eat right, take supplements, take care of my skin, and most of all; I try to keep a positive attitude. Most of us have some stress in our lives and stress is very aging and can be harmful to our health in many ways. I treat myself to massages every week, pedicures a few times a month, and just take time for myself, whether it’s watching movies, reading, or even surfing the web. I have learned that your body pays you back if you don’t learn to treat it right. Also, don’t let people dictate how you feel about yourself. You can’t control others, but you can be the master of how you think and feel about You.

BRSpecial:
The mind-body connection is no longer merely conjection. Research has shown a growing body of evidence of the effects our thoughts have on our physical being. Have you always been a highly positive minded girl?

Jennifer:
Yes! And I am even more positive now than ever before. I know I have always tried to keep a positive outlook, even when I was going through the toughest times of my life. Almost as though I had some ability to reach through the moment and see and feel a tiny bit of joy about the future because I knew things would be better soon. As the saying goes “When you are at your lowest, there’s only one way to go from there.” I truly believe that my positive attitude has been crucial to my looking and staying young.

BRSpecial:
You have written two books. One called: Cougar Dating: A Woman's Guide to Dating Men of All Ages, and another called: I Am Cougar, Hear Me Roar: A Self-Help Autobiography. Can you tell us a little about these books and why you wrote them?

Jennifer:
Actually, I haven’t written two books. I don’t know how this rumor got circulated on the web, but I’ve seen it before. I am however, writing a book (I am Cougar, Hear me Roar!), that is scheduled to be finished by this summer. It is a guide to staying young, sexy, healthy, and getting the most out of life, even if you are forty plus. Watch for its release this year.

BRSpecial:
Aside from being the executive assistant for seventeen years to Jerry Buss, the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, you seem to have accomplished a lions-share of other pursuits. Hawaiian Tropic swimsuit model, a makeup artist, a songwriter, a spokesmodel for Amore Fashion to name a few. After having obtained a Liberal Arts degree from Los Angeles Harbor College and doing all this it seems you should be grey-haired and wrinkled. How do you find the time for all of this?

Jennifer:
You know, I sometimes wonder the same thing. But lately I’ve actually tried to slow down on how many things I take on at one time. Around a year and a half ago I was doing too much and running myself down. It got to the point where I became really ill and couldn’t do much of anything but stay in bed for weeks. After that, I promised myself I’d take better care of myself, even if it meant turning down some opportunities.

BRSpecial:
Aside from your charitable work for Miller's Childrens Hospital, you would like to create a facility where women and children, who are victims of abuse, can go for help. Can you tell us about that?

Jennifer:
Yes, I want to eventually have a wellness center for women and children that allowed them to come in for help even if they were not able to afford it elsewhere. It will be a facility that involves all types of healing emotionally and spiritually.

BRSpecial:
How long have you been the Spokesmodel for Amore Fashion and how did that relationship come to pass?

Jennifer:
Almost two years ago I booked a modeling job by a company that saw my photos on a photographer’s website. They contacted him to reach me to do a photo shoot in their clothing. At the shoot I met the owner of Amore Fashions, Steve Oprian. He said that he had been searching for the right spokes model for his online designer fashion company, and realized that I was the perfect fit. The rest is history.

BRSpecial:
Do you have any specific plans for the future, or do you just trust and believe it'll provide great opportunities for you?

Jennifer:
Oh I have so many plans for the future. I always do. I believe everything I do opens up more and more possibilities for me. I am always excited about what I have yet to experience.

BRSpecial:
Ten years from now, aside from looking like you are in your late twenties then, what do you want most to have accomplished?

Jennifer:
Hah. Thanks. It’s important that I help others in any way I’m able to. That is so rewarding to me. I want to have my wellness center well on it’s way by then, be strong and healthy, and most of all, wherever and whatever I’m doing, I want to continue to have happiness and joy in my life.

BRSpecial:
You are amazing Jennifer. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

Jennifer:
Thank you, it was a pleasure. And remember to smile..
