Céline Bosquet

Céline BosquetCéline Bosquet, born the 9th of January, 1985 in Nice, France is a former fashion model, journalist and presenter on French television. As a child, Bosquet was passionate about drawing, painting and music. After ten years of studying saxophone at the Nice Conservatory she fully lived her passion, perfecting her abilities as a musician and performed in concert every Sunday. But, at the age of 17 this young beautiful woman stopped everything and embarked on a modeling career.

She quickly won her first contracts that allowed her to finance her world travels. Next Bosquet registered to study foreign languages with a major in Chinese and after 2 years she won a scholarship to obtain her Bachelor of Arts in Chinese in June 2008 after attending classes for one year at the University of Wuhan, China.

This was all part of a determined effort that would place her eventually on television and at the Cannes Film Festival with an Academy Award winning film producer.

Céline BosquetIn January of 2009, Bosquet was chosen by the director of the news channel at iTV , Pierre Fraidenraich, to present the news on a trial basis for one month. She succeeds brilliantly during a season and a half with Anne-Solenne Hatte succeeded her in 2010.

She had always kept in the back of her head the idea of being a journalist, so when she returned to France she knocked on the door of Pierre Fraidenraich , director of the TV station after sending a resume and making an appointment. He immediately warned her that iTV was not a training school, but he gave her a month to adapt to the newsroom. He told her of this small role he had in mind for her, but within a year, she had made it from A to Z.

The journalists who made her want to become a journalist were those who manage to impose naturally like Françoise Joly and Guilaine Chenu. She would like to make a success of journalism, but for now, she is focused on her presentation. Odd place for a woman to end up whose own father did not want to look at a television and banned it from their home.

Céline BosquetIn July of 2010, Bosquet joined M6 to become a wildcard of Nathalie Renoux presentation of the weekend news. David Jacquot, who held the wildcard post, is replacing the Claire Barsacq time slot during her maternity leave. She also hosted Xavier de Moulins time slot during the summer of 2011.

Her fast ascension into mainstream media generated a fair share of criticism towards Céline Bosquet. Many of her detractors stated rather derogatorily that she was just a model with a pretty face and not a journalist. But the fact that she was a model when younger does not detract from her determination and drive. After all, she was a successful and talented musician who became success at modeling to finance her world travels which futher enhanced her education.

Her determination and drive also led to a scholarship to obtain a degree in languages which further augmented her self confidence. Then the fact that she had the moxy to approach the director of the news channel at iTV as a novice and walk away with a shot at realizing her ambitions goes to show that the girl is far more than just a pretty face with a nice body attached to it. This girl is a winner.

Céline BosquetShe presented the news Sunday May 5th, 2013 for the last time on the 7:45pm show. She left the television channel to concentrate on making documentaries and doing personal projects.

From 2009 until 2012, she was in a relationship with singer Patrick Bruel, but since 2013 she has been in a relationship with producer Thomas Langmann. They married in a civil ceremony on Friday June 21st, 2013 in the city of Sartene in Corse-du-Sud. At the ceremony they were surrounded by nearly 150 guests - among them Berenice Bejo and Michel Hazanavicius and Jean Dujardin, the trio from The Artist, a Thomas Langmann feature film produced by him and winner of 5 Oscar Awards.

The religious ceremony was celebrated Saturday, June 22nd at the Church of Porto-Vecchio, followed by a reception in Murtoli. Her husband Thomas Langmann was born on the 24th of May 1972 and is the son of film producer Claude Berri and brother of actor Julien Rassam.
