Laury Thilleman

Laury ThillemanLaury Thilleman, born on July 30th, 1991 is originally from Brest, Brittany, France where she was a student at Sup de Co when she was selected on December 4th, 2010, to be Miss France for 2011.

She is a French journalist, model, television host, actress and beauty pageant titleholder who when crowned Miss France in 2011 allowed her to compete in Miss Universe as well where she made the top 10 in the Miss Universe finals.

Thilleman was France's entrant in the Miss Universe pageant held in São Paulo, Brazil in 2011.

There was a controversy when in a phone interview with the newspaper Première, she had been asked what she thought about the pageant winner - Leila Lopes of Angola.

Laury replied, "She was the only girl I didn't know very well. We didn't see her much; she was very discreet. She was often in jeans and not wearing makeup. We were all surprised by her winning.

Many girls made efforts that were not rewarded. I don't know, something was missing in her temperament. The fact that the competition was held in Brazil surely played a role."

Because of this candid comment, the Washington Post wrote an article considering her words as being scandalous and referred to them as "offering some nasty, sore loser, sour grapes, culturally imperious comments about Miss Angola".

Laury ThillemanEven though she said the win surprised her, she actually said all the contestants were surprised, and that it was not only herself that was surprised by the judges decision.

Even though the truth of her remarks were corroborated by other contestants. Back in Brest, Laury returns her crown after a busy year and Delphine Wespiser succeeds her.

But, although Laury is no longer Miss France, she does not escape the scandal that all Miss France now know.

During the summer of 2012, Laury posed nude for Paris-Match magazine - photos that will cause her to be dismissed from her Miss France title.

Sylvie Tellier, president of the Miss France Committee since the departure of Geneviève de Fontenay, no longer wants the name of Laury Thilleman to be associated with Miss France.

Thus, Laury no longer has the right to wear the scarf of Miss France and is not invited to the election of Miss France in 2013 which was won by Marine Lorphelin.

Although her life had taken another direction, she does not lose sight of her ambition to become a journalist. She worked hard to combine her studies with her commitments as a beauty queen.

She graduated from the Brest Business School in 2014 and gets her Master of Journalism at the CFPJ with the congratulations of the jury in 2017.

Laury ThillemanPassionate about sports, Laury is a journalist and host on the Eurosport channel for 6 years. In March 2012 she joined the sports channel Eurosport (TF1 group) to comment on the French Swimming Championships held in Dunkerque.

In July of the same year, she presented the EDF swimming Open and then the show Tous in London during the London Olympics as well as the Roland Garros Open in 2016 and many others.

At the beginning of 2013, Laury agreed to participate in the show Splash, the big dive on TF1. It was a television show in which celebrities competed in diving events on both the low and high dive boards.

More recently Laury has participated in the Dance avec les stars Tournée in Lyon, France. She has also hosted shows like Demain je m'yets and her weekly magazine Le Mag.

Thilleman took part on the fourth season of French show Danse avec les stars (Dancing with the stars). She finished on seventh place with her dancing partner Maxime Dereymez. She also attended the first Danse avec les stars tour.

An adventurist with a love of travel, Laury hosted several episodes of the show Le plein de sensations on France 4 in 2017.

In total immersion from Hong Kong to Lapland, she immersed herself in each culture to bring it to light.

Laury ThillemanMore than a passion, the profession of journalist is a real vocation for Laury. She is a sports ambassador, fashion & beauty expert who collaborates with several brands and becomes their muse.

Athletic, but sparkling and very feminine are values she embodies in her various collaborations, campaigns and digital operations.

Concerned about our planet and its population, Laury is a committed woman. She defends several causes and is involved in many charitable projects.

Thilleman is an actress, known for Le juge est une femme (1993), Camping paradis (2006) and Arthur et les incollables (2011).

Her parents are Fabrice and Sophie Thilleman and she has a brother, Hugo, and a sister, Julie. She studied at the Sanquer-République-Levot school group and has played basketball since she was young.

Passionate about surfing, she would also spend many hours on her surfboard.

At the age of 14, she was spotted by the Elite model agency and entered the Miss Elite national competition.

Selected to participate in the final, she decided to give up pursueing it, preferring to focus on her studies rather than enter the world of modeling.

Laury ThillemanNevertheless the experience makes her realize that she has potential in that industry.

So, after having obtained her Baccalaureate ES, she did some gigs as a model to pay for her studies in Bachelor management at ESC Brest.

During that same period, she was also a hostess for the Stade Brestois 29. So she decided to try her luck in modeling.

She then participates in Miss competitions and is chosen as Miss North Brittany in 2010 before becoming Miss Brittany 2010. It was this which opened the doors of the Miss France contest to her.

On December 4th, 2010 she was at the Zénith de Caen to represent her native region at the Miss France contest.

Standing out from other candidates by her fresh look, she is chosen with 37% of the vote after an evening full of emotion.

It was Malika Ménard, Miss France 2010, who gave her the crown of Miss France for 2011.

As Miss France 2011, Laury participates in the contest of Miss Universe 2011 in São Paulo where she places 6th in that year's contest which was won by Miss Angola.

Laury ThillemanThe week of competition for Dance with the Stars sees the first real difficulties. The merger of the dances and the Samba relay test make their entry into the competition and put the classification in question.

The tearful minute the first candidate to enter the stage that night was Laetitia Milot. Dancing to Britney Spears' Work Bitch, she has to merge two dances, Paso Doble and Chacha - and to be successful in this exercise, she must be a femme fatale and domineering - "all that I am not!" she lamented.

To give her the rage to conquer, Christophe Licata asks her to remember a fight in her personal life.

The actress then says that she has been trying, for over two years, to have a child with her boyfriend, without success.

It is with this that the young woman seduced almost all the jurors, even in spite of some small errors.

Only Chris Marques will give her a 5/10 technical score. The hairstyle of Shy'm is talking after the cleavage, it is the turn of the hairstyle of Shy'm to talk twittos.

It must be said that this week, the two mats, plated on the head of the singer was not in the best taste.

The former Miss France turned journalist for Eurosport has joined the new season of Dance with the stars. Not without having had to prove herself as it was revealed in the magazine Télé 7 Jours.

Laury ThillemanAfter doing the big dives, it's the entrechats (a vertical jump during which the dancer repeatedly crosses the feet and beats them together) that the pretty Laury Thilleman rubs.

Indeed, Miss France 2011 joined the cast of the 4th season of Dance with the stars . A dream come true for this great sportswoman.

But the fact that she was Miss France obviously did not facilitate her access to the show as she explained later:

"I really fought to take part in this adventure. I had to go through a strong pre-casting: four choreographies, one in waltz and salsa, to be prepared in four hours.

I was coached by Maxime Dereymez and I will remember it all my life, because I gave my all to produce the most beautiful dance possible for Dance with the Stars.

It was a bit like a dream, how proud I was to participate in such a prestigious program!

Dance is a second nature for this beautiful journalist:

"I love to dance, as a child, my dream was to participate in a musical, I was a fan of the Lion King, but I did not not possess the talent of a singer or a dancer."

Laury Thilleman"Anyway, with my mother - we are always the first to ignite the dancefloor at weddings and special evenings. I would dance with my little sister."

But the dance for two seems a little more complicated for the young woman of only 22 years: "I'm not comfortable, I'm afraid to walk on the feet of my partner..."

To avoid this, if she wants good notes from Chris Marques, her goal is to have fun, not to take the lead as it was in the case of the diving competition television program, Splash.

"I'm I'm going to have fun, not just test my notoriety. Splash, it was really difficult, I was so into the competition that I forgot the most important thing was to have fun," she admits.

And while fun seems to be at the heart of her concerns, Laury is also delighted with the choice of future candidates:

"Ado, I was a fan of Alizée, and today, my sister listens in a loop Tal's tubes are also choreographed and Petite, the supermodel Noémie Lenoir has helped me to accept my big size. "

Dance with the stars - more than a new challenge, it's happiness en bloc for the former Miss France!

Gone Girl video

The story tells of a married couple, Nick and Amy Dunne, on their fifth wedding anniversary. That morning, Amy mysteriously vanishes, leaving behind a rather suspicious trail of evidence. The authorities and the media quickly swoop down on Nick, who seems nice enough, but is oddly evasive and may not be telling the whole truth. As events unfold, you will be left wondering how well you truly know the person you love.

Return To Sender video

This movie is worth watching for Rosamund Pike's performance alone, such an amazing actress who has really stood out so much lately with her roles, her performance in Gone Girl was outstanding as is her performance in Return to sender, such a beautiful and believable talented actress who brings her characters to life with so much enthusiasm you immediately get engrossed, in this movie she unfortunately gets raped one day by a stalker who invades her home, once the man is in prison she starts to have an unusual way of dealing with her turmoil by visiting her rapist and writing him letters, but are her motives leading to something more sinister?

Babel

Babel is inarguably one of the best films of 2006. Director Alejandro González Iñárritu and his co-writer, Guillermo Arriaga weave together the disparate strands of their story into a finely hewn fabric by focusing on what appear to be several equally incongruent characters: an American (Brad Pitt) touring Morocco with his wife (Cate Blanchett) become the focus of an international incident also involving a hardscrabble Moroccan farmer struggling to keep his two young sons in line and his family together. A San Diego nanny, her employers absent, makes the disastrous decision to take their kids with her to a wedding in Mexico. And a deaf-mute Japanese teen (the extraordinary and beautiful Rinko Kikuchi) deals with a relationship with her father and the world in general that's been upended by the death of her mother.
