Jessica Van Der Steen

Jessica Van Der SteenJessica Van Der Steen, born on the 9th of July, 1984 in Westmalle, Antwerp, Belgium is a top fashion model.

Van Der Steen was first featured on the cover of the April 2000 edition of Ché magazine when she was only 16 years of age.

In September 2003, she was also featured in the Dutch edition of ELLE. She then appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in both 2004 and 2005. Currently, Van Der Steen is a model for Victoria's Secret.

Her journey in the modelling industry started at age 16 when she featured in the cover of Ché magazine and ever since that first booking, she has become one of the top models in the industry.

Jessica rose to fame over the years featuring in numerous modelling campaigns, but is best known for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover, which she was featured both in 2004 and 2005.

More so, Jessica Van Der Steen has worked with notable brands such as Alberto Guardiani, Ambiente, Boss by Hugo Boss, Carpe Diem, Casall sportswear, Clarins, Christian Dior 'DiorSnow' cosmetics, Esprit, Gant, Giovane, numerous others.

Jessica Van Der SteenShe has done catalog work for Victoria's Secret but has not yet walked the catwalk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Her outstanding performance on international circuit has earned her a global reputation in the industry, Jessica Van Der Steen is among the top faces for Victoria's secret and her presence on social media platforms with exponential growth as her fan following keeps increasing on a daily basis.

After Miranda Kerr, an Australian model and fellow Victoria's Secret girl posted social media pictures of herself frolicking on a golden beach in Mexico back in 2013 the world looked on in envy.

But it seems she isn't the only Victoria's Secret model to be flaunting her gorgeous figure on the beach while everyone else battles the mid-winter blues. She also drew the envy of the world with a photoshoot on the Caribbean island of Mustique.

Fellow Angel Jessica Van Der Steen had been unveiled as the face - and incredibly toned body, of Heidi Klein's latest swimwear range with an exquisite seaside campaign video to go with it.

The video and campaign images for the Resort Summer 2013 collection showed Jessica dancing against the beautiful hills and the calming seas of Mustique, a small private island that is part of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Jessica Van Der SteenJessica, model, mother and face of the campaign for the unique BABOR expert method, is crazy about good skincare.

She always has her favorite products from the SKINOVAGE range with her. And she doesn’t compromise when it comes to style either:

“My style is rather classic, but with a twist of rock. Self-confident, I’d call it.” Jessica loves her Acne boots and casual jackets and coats. She never leaves home without: “A kiss from my kids and my husband.” She is stylish, beautiful and so very likeable.

"When I was growing up, my mom always told me I looked like Miss Piggy from The Muppets because I was totally not photogenic."

The second-largest city in the country, Antwerp is known as Belgium's pillar into history - a marvelous city known for its architectural landmarks.

Antwerp has also become an important site within the fashion industry, producing young Flemish designers like Nadine Wynants, Walter Van Beirendonck, Ann De Meulemeester, Kaat Tilley, and Dirk Bikkembergs.

But, when it comes to Jessica Van Der Steen there is sadly little that is known about her private life, which she likes to keep... well, you know - private.

Jessica Van Der SteenAs a child, Jessica claims that she generally wasn't found attractive (even her mom told her she looked like Miss Piggy).

She has described her younger self as not photogenic and recalls being mistaken for a boy.

It could have been the result of the fact that Jessica became quite the tomboy, pursuing activities which didn't involve looking good - like sports.

When she was seven, she was hired as a ball girl for the Royal Antwerp Football Club, a popular local soccer team.

As she grew older, her features became more defined and it became obvious that she couldn't hide behind the tomboy disguise any longer. At that point, she met a professional photographer who took good photographs of her.

When the photos came back, it was clear that Jessica had a potential modeling career in front of her, and that comparisons between her and any Muppet characters were no longer appropriate.

While still a teenager, Jessica was signed up by the renowned Ford modeling agency. Ford soon landed Jessica work promoting the products of Ritchie Swimwear, Rebequinha, Tommy Hilfiger, Clarins, Dior, and Libero ADSL.

Jessica Van Der SteenIn September 2003, she was prominently featured in the Dutch edition of Elle and she later made many men happy by appearing in the 2004 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition alongside Fernanda Motta and Marisa Miller.

Although ambitious, Jessica did not want to take the typical supermodel route and move to Paris, Milan or New York.

She wanted to stay in Belgium for as long as she could. She's very much attached to her country and also was not interested in leaving her family and friends behind.

She was also not interested in leaving her boyfriend behind. Jessica won't publicly share the identity of her mystery man because she values her privacy too much.

She's also aware that he wouldn't be pleased if he saw his name in the newspapers or on the World Wide Web.

Jessica continued to look towards the future with open eyes. In addition to having a house and a family over the next decade.

She also planned on trying her hand at acting and possibly even moving to an American farm where she could have horses.

Jessica Van Der SteenIn the meantime, she will continue to live in Antwerp. Due to her desire for privacy the only thing of her plans that have become public is that she is now a proud mother.

It was noted that Jessica once stated that if the modeling world ultimately didn't work out for her, she had plans on opening her own clothing store.
