Lele Pons

Lele PonsEleonora 'Lele' Pons, born on June 25th, 1996 in Caracas, Venezuela is a social media superstar who lives in Los Angeles.

The 21-year-old Pons has amassed 32 million Instagram followers and 13 million YouTube subscribers since she began a presence on social media. At the age of five her family moved to the U.S.

She lived in Miami, Florida, but once she finished high school in 2015, she made the move from Miami to the west coast in Los Angeles.

She has said that she still edits all her own videos. While there is a team at Shots Studios that helps her with the content she insists on editing it herself.

"I like editing," insists Pons. "People think I don't edit, but I do. I have a video on my mind, and no one can see what I have on my mind. So when I edit it, it's like I have it already edited in my mind. Nobody else can do it."

Even though Lele's brand of humor covers a broad spectrum with topics such like puberty issues, boys, and school — portrayed with slapstick acting, she insists that her actual personality is far more extreme than the characters she portrays.

"Her videos were mainly practical jokes on her friends, classmates and family members. She now runs her own self titled YouTube channel called Lele Pons. There she posts weekly comedy skits in collaboration with friends.

Lele Pons"I am crazier than the one that you see on YouTube and on Instagram" she says. "I'm basically just like how all the girls are, but a little more loud about it."

Pons also rejects the notion that her comedy promotes stereotypes - that Latina women tend to be hotheaded, for instance, or that beautiful women are prone to ditziness.

"What I do for social media is the someone that I am — I'm not saying that everybody is like me."

Pons gained her popularity starting at Vine and later effortlessly transitioned into Youtube and other social media sites. Pons started using the Social Media app Vine when she was 16 years old.

She explains "I started with my friends, and I started becoming good. At first it was just being really creative - it wasn't even funny stuff."

Pons has gained tremendous popularity rapidly because of her self-deprecating humor. Possessing such hilarious humor and an amazing wit, it's not difficult to see why Lele has become so popular.

In her sketches, fans could see everyday struggles represented through her lens – from women criticizing each others appearance to a boyfriend checking some other girl out.

She had the kind of humor that turned an unfavorable situation into a viral piece of content that made everyone say - Yo, that's me!

Lele PonsIn Florida she attended Miami Country Day High School where she says she was relentlessly bullied during high school by her classmates.

They would make fun of the way she spoke with an accent, as well as her nose.

Pons said that she had trouble making friends in high school, so she "would get hurt to make them laugh." She said "I'm not like the cool girls - I'm that other girl. The one that's basically a nerd, but proud of that."

She is noted for her command of the coveted Gen Z audience, and often makes videos on themes relatable to teenagers.

She has said that she wants to branch out into television and movie acting as she gets older and her career develops.

In an interview with People.com, Pons explained "People threw food at me and sang songs about how ugly I was."

As her presence on Vine grew, so did her popularity. She became the first user to pass 1 billion video loops. With the shutdown of Vine her account is listed as the most looped of all time with 16.7 billion loops.

Lele Pons makes extra income through sponsorship deals on her videos and social media accounts.

She has promoted products like TapTapFish and others. She also has a book out called Surviving High School being sold on Amazon.

Lele PonsThe 22-year-old also credits her success to her team - she's managed by Shot Studios and has used her platform to bring attention to the Venezuelan economic and social crisis.

Pons has used her success in Internet comedy to launch a number of enterprises. In 2015, she launched a jewelry collection called UNO Magnetic.

In 2016, Pons co-authored a novel based on her own high school experiences, Surviving High School. Published by Simon & Schuster, the novel was co-authored with author Melissa de la Cruz.

The book highlights the ups and downs that come with high school life and is totally hilarious, just like most of Lele's videos.

Pons has also had a number of acting roles. She starred as Callie in the 2016 romantic comedy We Love You, released on YouTube Red.

In the movie, characters played by Yousef Erakat and Justin Dobies both fall for Pons, who is "cool enough" to date both of them at the same time. The movie was produced by YouTube and AwesomenessTV.

Pons appeared in the American horror television show Scream in 2016 as well as acted in the television series Escape the Night. Pons has also done movies like The Space Between Us and We Love You.

Pons has one major goal and that is to be an actress in movies - she would love to have a career like Meryl Streep's someday.

Lele PonsShe has starred in a number of music videos, including for Havana by Camila Cabello, and Downtown by Anitta and J Balvin.

It was announced in February 2017, that Pons would be the new Brand Ambassador for cosmetic giant, CoverGirl cosmetics. That same month, Pons walked the catwalk in a Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan Fashion Week.

She was listed as one of Forbes 30 Under 30: Hollywood & Entertainment. She joins the ranks of other up and comers like Cameron Dallas, Ryan Higa, Tyler Oakley and Elle Fanning.

She has recently released her first single Celoso and featured on Matt Hunter's Dicen. Pons recently signed an global record deal with Universal Music Group and released her first single Celoso.

She also completed the video for the song, directed by fellow internet comedian-turned-musician-turned-filmmaker Rudy Mancuso.

The music she released is her debut single — a Spanish-language duet with fellow social media star and singer Matt Hunter.

The music video for the track, which is hosted on Hunter's channel and showcases her impressive dance moves, has recieved over 10 million views in just four days. The song is also available on Spotify and Apple Music for download.

Fortunately Pons will not be abandoning her comedic roots in order to produce her own music. She is ready to launch a new series on her YouTube channel called Amigos, co-starring fellow creators Juanpa Zurita, Anwar Hadid, Rudy Mancuso, and others.

Lele PonsPons was part of an influencer-filled Dolce & Gabbana show in 2017, which also included Rudy Mancuso and Spanish fashion blogger Alexandra Pereira.

This year, she appeared on her first cover thanks to GQ Mexico and had a feature in Vogue Mexico. Pons was also a judge in the 2017 Miss Universe pageant.

In 2016, Pons won an award for the Best Viner at the Teen Choice Awards. She also has a bunch of nominations such as 2014 Teen Choice Award nom for Choice Viner.

Shorty Awards nom for Vine Star of the Year and Streamy Awards nom for Viner of the Year.

In 2015, Lele was invited to the White House, where she worked on a campaign for disadvantaged kids to go to college with FLOTUS Michele Obama.

Pons always had an issue with her nose growing up and in 2016 she had work done on it.

"I believe that you should do whatever makes you happy and feel confident. So, I had cosmetic surgery done on my nose."

"It is something I always wanted to do, but waited until the right time to do it! It was my own choice. The important thing is that you don't let it change who you are inside!"

Pons has partnered with ATTN: to spread the word about the crisis in Venezuela. She explains that things in the Latin American country have gone south after the oil industry collapsed and brought a once prosperous nation to it's knees.

Lele PonsLast year, she partnered with social media outlet ATTN: to create a video addressing the main issues of Venezuela's crisis. She used her comedy style to attract more viewers to the crisis, saying:

"Photos from grocery stores look like scenes from The Walking Dead. The only difference is that people actually watch The Walking Dead, but not enough people are paying attention to the crisis in Venezuela."

In Venezuela people have taken to the streets to protest the situation and the hunger they are facing, with the demonstrations often turning violent. Since April at least 129 people have died.

President Maduro is mainly focused on giving himself more power while his citizens starve.

ATTN: and Lele made the video because they want to raise awareness about the situation in Venezuela.

In May 2018, it was announced that Pons would take over hosting of La Voz... México, the Mexican singing competition show that was created by Televisa. Their new season began on October 14th, 2018.

She also presented the 19th Annual Latin Grammy Awards with Aitana and in November 2018, Pons released "TELÉFONO (Remix)" with Aitana.

Pons landed a feature from Ocean Drive Magazine, earned a nomination from iHeart Radio for Best New Latin Artist and is slated to appear on the next season of Lip Sync Battle.

Gone Girl video

The story tells of a married couple, Nick and Amy Dunne, on their fifth wedding anniversary. That morning, Amy mysteriously vanishes, leaving behind a rather suspicious trail of evidence. The authorities and the media quickly swoop down on Nick, who seems nice enough, but is oddly evasive and may not be telling the whole truth. As events unfold, you will be left wondering how well you truly know the person you love.

Return To Sender video

This movie is worth watching for Rosamund Pike's performance alone, such an amazing actress who has really stood out so much lately with her roles, her performance in Gone Girl was outstanding as is her performance in Return to sender, such a beautiful and believable talented actress who brings her characters to life with so much enthusiasm you immediately get engrossed, in this movie she unfortunately gets raped one day by a stalker who invades her home, once the man is in prison she starts to have an unusual way of dealing with her turmoil by visiting her rapist and writing him letters, but are her motives leading to something more sinister?

Babel is inarguably one of the best films of 2006. Director Alejandro González Iñárritu and his co-writer, Guillermo Arriaga weave together the disparate strands of their story into a finely hewn fabric by focusing on what appear to be several equally incongruent characters: an American (Brad Pitt) touring Morocco with his wife (Cate Blanchett) become the focus of an international incident also involving a hardscrabble Moroccan farmer struggling to keep his two young sons in line and his family together. A San Diego nanny, her employers absent, makes the disastrous decision to take their kids with her to a wedding in Mexico. And a deaf-mute Japanese teen (the extraordinary and beautiful Rinko Kikuchi) deals with a relationship with her father and the world in general that's been upended by the death of her mother.
