Tashi Rodriguez

Tashi RodriguezTashi Rodriguez, born in Brooklyn, New York on January 8th 1994. At the age of two she moved to Buffalo, New York, where she was raised by her grandparents. Then in 2013 she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to be able to enjoy a fresh start.

She is an American Instagram model who rose to fame by posting fashion and glamour photos to her tashimrod account. She has gone on to amass over 200,000 followers on the Instagram platform.

Shortly after she moved, she began working for Nordstrom department store. While she worked at Nordstrom she was discovered by her department manager, Lindsay Worsham. Lindsay was a model at the time and she made it her mission to help Tashi.

Since she was a little girl Tashi dreamed of being a model. In 2014 her dreams became a reality when she signed to her very first modeling agency, Directions USA. After a year of shooting and building her portfolio in Charlotte, Tashi decided it was time for a change.

In 2016, after signing to DT Model Management she moved to Los Angeles. Moving to LA was a big decision and she didn’t know what to expect. All she had was her little dog Luna and two hundred dollars, but she had faith in herself. Her dog Luna was a Chihuahua.

Tashi Rodriguez"Luna came into my life in 2013. I never knew I could love anybody so much. I had never even liked chihuahuas, but, she was a gift; and I wanted a dog, so I went for it. I drove to a trailer park in South Carolina to pick her up."

"She was so tiny, she barely weighed a pound. She had these huge fleas on her, so I had to wash her with Dawn dish soap because flee shampoo was too strong for her."

"She was like having a newborn baby. I had to bottle feed her since she barely had any teeth to chew anything with. She was so small that I use to keep her in a bin that was meant for storing clothes because I was so afraid to lose her!"

"Right away Luna started to show me her little personality. She was so sassy yet, also very loving and cuddly. She was like the dog version of me."

"Luna was with me through many phases and transitions. She was there for every hard time and good time.

She was my best friend . She knew me and I knew her. I would come home from a hard day and she’d be there waiting for me in her little bed."

Tashi Rodriguez"There were times when Luna was all I had. She was my family. I remember being so happy that I could finally buy her the good organic food. To be honest, I was working hard so that we could BOTH have a better life. I wanted Luna to have the same life as the chihuahua from the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua. I even almost named her Chloe, but that didn’t stick."

"Now, Luna was my girl, but she had a bad side. She could be so stubborn and spiteful sometimes. I know she was a dog but, trust me I can't make this up. There were so many times that I came home from working a double, I would finally lay my head on my pillow and I’d smell poop!"

"Luna would actually walk all the way across my room, past her pee pads, and poop right under my bed, right under where my head would be. She did that because she hated being left alone."

"The crazy part is she also liked staying home because she could nap in her little bed all day, she just wanted me to be home with her. She loved her bed, and like I stated previously, she was like the dog version of me. Luna and her crazy little personality, I miss her so much. She was truly one of a kind."

"Losing Luna was very hard. I felt like apart of me was gone, and it was. I know everyone tells me she’s still with me, I’m sill trying to have faith in that idea."

"Luna was so special. So many people loved her. Anyone that come in contact with her instantly smiled and picked her up. She loved being held. Everyday I miss her and I wish I could hold her again."

"In a way, I feel like Luna was my little guardian angel. She was with me through all the hard times, and once I was in a happy, stable place she left me. That thought makes me feel a little better everyday. Rest in peace my little shrimp. I love you forever."

Tashi RodriguezAfter 6 months of going to castings and working part time at a restaurant, she was finally in position to be a full time model.

In 2018 she signed to her third modeling agency, Storm Management, in London.

Tashi has worked for remarkable brands such as: Smashbox, Nike, Marc Jacobs, Puma, Benefit Cosmetics, Adidas, Weleda, Champaion, Mansur Gavriel, Fenty Beauty, Asos, Bloomingdale’s, Neutrogena, Free People, Reformation and many others.

She has also been featured in top magazines such as: Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Women’s Health, and Galore.

Tashi is so thankful for her boyfriend, he would always keep her sane when she wanted to give up. She is grateful for her agents. They opened many doors in the modeling industry.

Tashi absolutely adores her fans that show her great support on Instagram and YouTube and posts photos and videos so she can share her journey as it continues!

"I want my story to inspire others to go out and fight for their dreams no matter what obstacles they encounter."

Tashi Rodriguez"Picture your future, where do you see yourself? How bad do you want to get there? Does it make your chest hurt? I’ve been there, and to be honest I’m still there, because even once you achieve your biggest goal, there are always even bigger goals to achieve. The following are the tools you’ll need in order to do this."

"Achieving goals starts with being in the right state of mind. You have to clear your mind of any negativity and doubts. You must not doubt yourself or your dreams. You have to know that you deserve it, and with a lot of work, you will earn it."

"Now, it is important to understand that you will face obstacles. Obstacles are apart of the journey. Each time that you overcome an obstacle, you become stronger, wiser and ready for the next hurdle. Do not let the idea of obstacles hold you back, just be prepared to bounce back if need be."

"Making your goals more visible to you will make them more real - so write them down. My list of goals are the first thing I see when I get up in the morning, and the last thing I see every night when I go to bed."

"You have to be passionate about this! You want to almost be obsessed with your goals, in a healthy, positive way of course. This will continue to fuel your determination during your journey."

Tashi Rodriguez"When you write down your goals, start with the smallest one and work your way down to the biggest goal. Eventually, you’ll cross everything off your list and write down a whole new one. That means you are on the right track."

"Let’s say that you are working a job that has nothing to do with your ultimate goal. It is okay, it is necessary, the bills have to be paid. In order to achieve goals you need somewhat of a stable life and having a steady income helps with that."

"The important part is that any free time you have outside of that job should be dedicated to crossing things off of that list. It’s easy to go home and relax after a long day of work but, that is not going to fuel your determination."

"The more time you spend away from your goals, the less attainable they will seem. Always remember that self care is very important for success, so make sure you make time for that as well. Like I stated previously, you need to be in the right state of mind to achieve goals."

"The company you keep. Surround yourself with like-minded people. Unfortunately, this means that you might have to disassociate yourself with certain people in order to get where you want to be."

Tashi Rodriguez"Being ambitious is contagious, so being around individuals that are as ambitious as you are is critical to your success. You can piggy-back ideas off of each other and keep each other motivated and focused."

"Ultimately, what you achieve in this life is up to YOU. If you don’t really try, the only person you are letting down is yourself. So, from here on out no more of this “I can’t” or “how do I begin?” You have the tools and you have the determination."

"Today your homework is writing down your list, and from there the rest is history!"

"I fear becoming complacent. Therefore, I do not hesitate to take on a new challenge."

When asked how she defines sexy, Tashi replied: "Sexy to me is being comfortable in your own skin. Not conforming is sexy."

"I inspire myself. What I decide to wear completely depends on my mood I am in."
